On the 7th of November 2023, the people of North Tongu were privileged to receive a ginormous donation for the affected victims of the flood from the Rebecca Foundation, an initiative of the first lady of the Republic , Rebecca Akuffo-Addo. Quoted from her facebook page she said “We at The Rebecca Foundation, are deeply touched by the plight of communities affected by the Akosombo dam spillage.
This is just our widow’s mite to support some of the affected communities”. North Tongu is grateful for this heartfelt gesture Madam First Lady.
